Charities collecting on Colorado Gives Day

For the past three years, Colorado Springs Christian Schools hasn't had to raise its tuition. School officials organize fundraisers throughout the year, but the day that makes the biggest difference comes every December: Colorado Gives Day, when anyone with internet access can donate money to nonprofit organizations across the state during a 24-hour blitz. Donations are boosted by a $1 million incentive fund - provided by campaign organizer and Arvada-based Community First Foundation and FirstBank - that will be divided and distributed to each participating nonprofit, based on the percentage of overall donations they receive.
