Giving season: Sharing is ‘fun’ for undefeated Golden Wave

By Gene Phelps Daily Journal TUPELO – Tupelo’s new-look starting lineup – Jett Johnson, Jaylon Copeland, Kylan Hamilton, Nick Ratliff and Tyjil Hereford – was a hit Friday night. The group helped the unbeaten Golden Wave land an early knockout punch on its way to a convincing 73-35 victory against Grenada. Johnson, a 6-foot-3 linebacker and post player making his first start, scored 10 early points as the starters gave Tupelo a 22-0 lead in the first quarter.
