Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga hasn't hit theaters yet, but its director, George Miller, has already been spitballing ideas for the character's next chapter in the franchise. Starring Anya Taylor-Joy as the eponymous heroine, Furiosa is a prequel to 2015's Mad Max: Fury Road, and shows her journey from a child of the 'Green Place' to the shaved-headed killer audiences adored in Miller's long-awaited return to the franchise.

After accepting a monumental Palme d'Or on behalf of Studio Ghibli, Goro Myazaki (son of Hayao Miyazaki) made a bold accusation about the current state of anime. Ghibli's award marks the first time the honorary Palme d'Or award has been given to an entire studio, rather than an individual. Thierry Frmaux, Director of the Institut Lumire, opened the award ceremony (via Cannes Festival), saying:
