A man who apparently wandered onto Interstate 80 in Berkeley on Friday evening was struck and killed by a motorist, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision occurred shortly before 8 p.m. near the eastbound Gilman Street offramp, where the driver of a blue Hyundai struck a pedestrian who was standing or walking in the slow lane.
