Boys high school basketball: Putnam City West finds rhythm in playoff opener

Yet in a season filled with ups and downs, the defending Class 6A champion certainly looked to be in playoff form in Friday night's postseason opener. The Patriots exploded out of the gate and held off a late push from rival Putnam City for an 84-69 win in the first round of the 6A regional playoffs at Westmoore.
