As is the case with most award shows, especially this season, there were plenty of awkward moments. For instance, we saw Jimmy Kimmel lift Sunny Pawar (the adorable child from “Lion”) up into the air like Simba in “The Lion King,” and we watched Auli’i Cravalho get hit in the head with a flag ― she finished her performance like a total pro, though. Finally, in what might be the most dramatic and awkward moment in Oscar history, “La La Land” was mistakenly announced as Best Picture, when it was “Moonlight” that earned the night’s top accolade.
