Pierce The Veil returns to Houston with Sum 41

The bassist for Pierce The Veil has been in awe since the start of the bands "We Will Detonate!" tour last month by supporting act and heavy punk rock legends Sum 41. Pierce The Veil, a San Diego grown band, is mixing well-known songs such as "Texas is Forever" and "Circles" with a steady mix of songs from older albums such as "Bulls in the Bronx" and "Caraphernelia" on the "We Will Detonate!" set list. The ever-growing musical catalog for the band has made it more difficult to come up with a set list for everyone with only so much time on stage, but Preciado said he feels the group has put together a good collection of songs to make all fans happy. The band even has a couple of tricks up their sleeves, including a Julia Michaels cover and an acoustic song that features Preciado on the piano. The brothers later added guitarist Tony Perry and Preciado before touring on the band's debut album "A Flair for the Dramatic." Despite a busy touring schedule, the band recently spent time at the legendary Sound City Studios in Santa Monica to record a cover of Green Day's "Coming Clean."
