Sheriff's Office deputies to receive first responder care kits

Oakland County Sheriff's Office deputies will soon be receiving a gift. Operation Gratitude, a nonprofit organization that annually sends 150,000 care packages to law enforcement across the country, is donating 1,500 packages to the Sheriff's Office, a value of $37,500. The kits include items that most police and corrections officers can use in their daily work assignments, including healthy snacks and pocket-size essentials such as protein bars, energy drinks, hand sanitizer, lip balm, wipes, paracord survival bracelets, and hand warmers.
