Comment on Ohio Northern’s Richards wins 800, 1,500 at nationals

GENEVA — Ohio Northern’s Emily Richards claimed two titles at the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships at the SPIRE Institute. Richards first won the 1,500-meter run title in a stadium-record time of 4:23.87. The junior then shortly after claimed the 800-meter run title in a new national meet record time of 2:03.51, beating the field by nearly five seconds. “I was pretty nervous heading into the 800,” Richards said.
