Second suspect arrested for break-ins near Power Park, past charges

By Giuseppe Sabella Two suspects are in custody after a series of break-ins at businesses across the street from Appalachian Power Park on Tuesday night. Charleston Police arrested the second suspect, Elizabeth Sayre, at about 2 a.m. on Thursday, according to a news release. Authorities arrested Sayre, 21, on a charge of breaking and entering for allegedly intruding at Smith Floor Covering Distributors. She is expected to undergo an arraignment for several similar charges on Friday. Police accused Sayre and an accomplice, George Jeffery, of breaking into the flooring company, along with No Limit Fitness and an adjacent building. Jeffery, 29, remained at South Central Regional Jail in lieu of a $30,000 bond on Thursday afternoon.
