A preliminary report filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality shows that a fire at Valero Energy Corp.'s Port Arthur Refinery may have released nearly one million pounds of pollutants into the air. A fire erupted at a Valero (NYSE: VLO) storage terminal in Port Arthur late Tuesday morning. No injuries were reported but authorities issued a temporary "shelter-in-place" warning for surrounding communities. Firefighters put out the blaze just after 1:30 p.m.
