OKC's Chesapeake Energy lowers production estimates after Harvey

By Adam Wilmoth Energy Editor awilmoth@oklahoman.comChesapeake Energy Corp. executives on Tuesday lowered the company's third-quarter production estimates by 15 percent because of the effects of Hurricane Harvey, but said the company still likely will meet its initial goal of 100,000 barrels of oil per day for the year. Chesapeake temporarily shut in much of its south Texas Eagle Ford operations as the hurricane approached the Texas Gulf Coast.
