Beyoncé’s younger sister Solange Knowles made a name for herself with her acclaimed 2016 release, “A Seat at the Table.” Eight years in the making, her third studio album challenges the notions of race and equality with lushly produced R&B tunes like “Cranes in the Sky” and “Rise.” Earlier this year, Solange brought her colorful multidisciplinary live show to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s Birthday Bash and, later, the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in Golden Gate Park.
