PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A 47-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning when his car hit a traffic-signal pole at the intersection of Eddy Street and Allens Avenue, according to police Lt. John K. Ryan.Damin Thompson died as a result of the single-vehicle accident at around 3:30 a.m. Ryan said the police have not been able to determine Thompson's address.
