MARENGO – A 31-year-old man who was trying to cross the street was killed after being struck by a car Sunday night in Marengo, police said. Marengo police responded about 6:21 p.m. to Route 176 and Prospect Street, according to a news release from Marengo police. A preliminary investigation showed that a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer traveling east on Telegraph Street struck the man, who was trying to cross the street, police said.
