SACRAMENTO — Leaders in the California Senate will vote this month on whether to strip a fellow senator of his coveted committee chairmanship after a third woman stepped forward with allegations of sexual misconduct. The move by Senate President Kevin de León, D-Los Angeles, to oust Sen. Tony Mendoza, D-Artesia (Los Angeles County), of his appointed positions came after a third woman told the Sacramento Bee on Thursday that she was sexually harassed by Mendoza while working in his office.
