MBTA authorities say smoldering cables were behind three manhole explosions in Brighton early this morning.The popped lids occurred at Lake Street and Commonwealth Avenue between 5:30 and 6:30 a.m., said MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo.There was no disruption to Green Line service, Pesaturo said.
