The New York City bombing suspect may have been motivated by Israeli airstrikes in Gaza

REUTERS/Mohammed Salem Akayed Ullah, the 27-year-old suspect from Monday's pipe bomb explosion, was reportedly motivated by recent Israeli actions in Gaza. Israel has recently launched airstrikes into Gaza following several rocket launches into Israel from the Gaza Strip. Ullah is suspected to be behind the explosion which took place Monday morning after a reported pipe bomb detonated in a Manhattan subway station. Akayed Ullah, the 27-year-old suspected of carrying out a pipe bomb attack in New York City on Monday morning, was motivated by recent actions by Israel, CNN reported, citing an unnamed law enforcement source. Ullah is suspected to be behind the explosion police believe was caused by a pipe bomb in a passageway linking the busy hubs of Port Authority and Times Square subway stations in midtown Manhattan.
