UNIVERSITY PARK -- After a week-long hiatus, the SMU basketball team returned to Moody Coliseum Wednesday night with a 79-66 win over New Orleans. The result over the Privateers was, frankly, expected. New Orleans is a plucky bunch, but the Mustangs weren't supposed to have an issue with the visitors. So this game, and the next two, for that matter, are merely an appetizer for the looming main course on the SMU schedule: conference play. This current stretch is about getting the team in the best possible shape before the UCF Knights come to Moody on Dec.
