Colorado Springs Airport had less snow than airports in the East and South

Colorado’s dry winter has not been restricted to the high country. A total of 1.5 inches has been recorded at the Colorado Springs Airport since October. Cities in the East and South, even some that rarely see snowfall, have recorded higher, or comparable, totals. Early January's "bomb cyclone" brought rare ice and snow to parts of Florida, Georgia and South Carolina before traveling up the East Coast to New England.
