The Oklahoma Education Association is demanding a $10,000 pay raise for teachers over three years. "If the public schools get the pay raise, they'll be making a lot more money than my folks will," said Jack Bryant, president of Redlands Community College in El Reno. The base salary for instructors is $40,000 at Redlands and as low as $37,000 at some two-year colleges, Bryant said.
