“I was never very good with numbers,” says John Murphy.Which is funny, since the Middletown resident is in charge of the Orange County Tax-Aide program.“But the software does much of the work,” he says with a smile.Murphy is the district coordinator for the program and oversees 82 volunteers who help seniors and other individuals get their taxes done for free.
