SALEM, Mass. — A scholarship named for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology police officer killed by the Boston Marathon bombers is being given out for the first time this week.The Salem News reports that the Sean Collier Memorial Scholarship is scheduled to be awarded Thursday at Salem State University's annual criminal justice department banquet.The first recipient is sophomore Danalee Williams.A school spokeswoman says the $1,000 scholarship will be given to Williams annually until graduation as long as she remains in good academic standing.
