GRAY — Two standout pitching performances made the Science Hill-Daniel Boone softball matchup on Wednesday afternoon at Daniel Boone High School a treat for the fans and for the coaches. The Lady Trailblazers managed only three hits but came away with a 2-0 victory over the Lady Hilltoppers. Megan Ackerman pitched the complete-game shutout as Boone picked up a crucial Big 7 Conference victory late in the season to remain tied with David Crockett in the league standings. “When you get two good pitchers like that going against each other, you get quick games,” Science Hill assistant coach Bob Dempsey said.
