A person suffered serious injuries from a gunshot wound overnight Sunday in southeast Colorado Springs, police said. Officers responded at 1:30 a.m. to a report of shots fired at the intersection of South Academy Boulevard and South Chelton Road. They found a bullet hole in the front windshield of one vehicle and several shell casings in the parking lot. While investigating, police were notified that a victim with a gunshot wound had arrived at a local hospital.
