It wouldn’t stop raining.Twenty-five years later, that’s the most common recollection among those who endured the flood — actually, the floods — of 1993. John Lundell, now the Coralville mayor who was Iowa City’s transit director at the time, said the 1993 floods were the first time water climbed over the top of the Coralville reservoir.Floodwater hit homes and businesses, but soon subsided, allowing property owners to begin cleanup efforts.
