Registration is open for a charity golf tournament that could help support major expansion plans for Animal House Shelter in Huntley. The event, known as the Putt for Paws Charity Golf Tournament, will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Elgin Country Club, 2575 Weld Road. Ashley Feck, Animal House Shelter’s fundraising director, said this will be the shelter’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds will help to expand the shelter’s services to include a low-cost veterinary clinic, which will offer vaccinations, microchipping and spays and neuters.
