Town hall in Vancouver aims to educate about state’s Alzheimer’s plan

The Alzheimer’s Association for Washington state will host a town hall from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Health Education Center at PeaceHealth in Vancouver. The focus of the town halls, of which there will be 14 across Washington and Northern Idaho, is educating community members on the Washington state plan to address Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The state plan is centered on meeting the needs of caregivers, reducing stigmas associated with dementia, increasing access and affordability of longterm services, and increasing the quality and availability of paid aides. There is no registration required, and the town hall is free.
