Applications available for 22nd Judicial Circuit associate judge seat

The Illinois Supreme Court is accepting applications for an associate judge in McHenry County. The seat of retiring judge, John D. Bolger will be vacant on Nov. 30, according to a news release from 22nd Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Michael J. Sullivan. Attorneys who live in the 22nd Judicial Circuit in McHenry County and are licensed to practice law in Illinois can apply for the position. Unlike circuit judges, associate judges can preside over any type of case, except those involving criminal offenses that could result in one or more years in prison. Instructions on how to submit an application electronically are available on the Illinois Supreme Court's website: www.Illinois courts.gov. Applications can also be delivered in by mail or in person by submitting two signed originals of the application to the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, 3101 Old Jacksonville Road, Springfield.
