Some songs, with incredible finger-picked and slide guitar work, suggest a player steeped in the blues of the Mississippi Delta. Others evoke the country-rock of an Emmylou Harris, the gritty honky tonk of Leon Russell, or the swampy sounds of Lucinda Williams. But the musician producing all of those sounds is Taunton native Kerri Powers, whose latest album "Starseeds" came out in May and is one of 2018's most beguiling records.
