New Yorkers love takeout Nepalese food on Thanksgiving

Forget turkey and all the trimmings. On Thanksgiving, New Yorkers crave spicy lentil soup, goat dumplings and fried donuts known as sel roti. Those are staples of Nepal’s cuisine, which had the biggest spike in orders in NYC among all types of take-out on America’s favorite holiday, according to the food delivery service Seamless.
