Comment on Winter weather could affect morning commute in McHenry County, officials say

Commuters could face hazardous weather conditions Wednesday morning. The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for McHenry County from 3 a.m. to noon Wednesday. The area is expected to face periods of light snow, sleet or freezing rain that could cause travel difficulties. The weather service is warning motorists to drive with caution because a fast-moving weather system is expected to bring precipitation to much of northern Illinois. “We’re looking at a mix,” meteorologist Mark Ratzer said.
