Round Lake Police are investigating a Tuesday shooting that left a pregnant woman in critical condition, officials said Wednesday. Round Lake police officers responded to a call for a disturbance with shots fired about 2 p.m. Tuesday. The incident occurred in a house on the 600 block of West Nippersink Road, Round Lake, according to a news release from the Lake County Major Crime Task Force. Officers found the victim, a pregnant woman in her 20s, with a significant head wound.
