A Newport man has been charged with a felony in connection with a shooting incident Wednesday night at a local convenience store, according to Newport police Chief Leonard Macdaid. Brian Duplisea is charged with reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, a Class C crime, Macdaid said Thursday morning. The name of the victim, who is being treated at the Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center for multiple gunshot wounds, was not released.
