Comment on District 26 School Board appoints attorney, parent to board

Cary Consolidated School District 26 appointed Melinda Hartman to replace Len Kazmer on the Board of Education member Monday. Hartman will serve through the April 2021 general election. Hartman was one of six candidates that applied and was interviewed by the board for the vacant seat. “All six candidates were highly qualified for the position which made it a very difficult decision for the Board,” Superintendent Brian Coleman said in a statement.
