Hurricane Barry, Middle East tensions could push gas prices higher, AAA says

NASHVILLE – Gas prices are still on the rise in Tennessee and across the country. Tennessee’s average gas price is $2.53 per gallon for regular unleaded, which is 7 cents more than last week’s average, 16 cents more than one month ago and 9 cents cheaper than one year ago. The national average is $2.79, which is an 8-cent increase since the beginning of July, AAA reported.
