Huntley teen accused of sending sexually explicit photo missed court date, denied lower bond

Bond will remain at $30,000 for a Huntley teen accused of sending a sexually explicit photo to a minor who did not appear for a court appearance while out on pretrial bond. Joshua Rojas, 19, is charged with felony distributing harmful material to a minor, according to the McHenry County jail site. On Friday, he appeared before McHenry County Judge Robert Wilbrandt, after being arrested Tuesday on a warrant for not appearing in court. His defense attorney, assistant public defender Eric Vogel, asked that his bond be reduced, citing his family’s financial difficulties. But prosecutors argued to increase his bond, noting that he had missed a court date and while out on pretrial bond allegedly tried to contact a minor through social media.
