Former UMaine guard Moss to transfer to Division II New Haven

Former Portland High School basketball standout Terion Moss, who started 29 games as a freshman at the University of Maine last winter, is transferring to the University of New Haven, according to his former AAU basketball program. “Congratulations to Blue Wave alumnus Terion Moss as he has accepted a scholarship from New Haven!” was a Twitter message issued by the Westbrook-based Blue Wave Basketball AAU program and retweeted by New Haven’s basketball program. Moss’ decision to transfer to the NCAA Division II school in Connecticut didn’t come as a huge surprise once he left UMaine last spring. New Haven had been one of the primary scholarship-level schools recruiting the 5-foot-10, 170-pound point guard during his senior year at Portland before Moss announced his verbal commitment to attend UMaine on an athletic scholarship while accepting the state’s high school Mr.
