In declaring Tuesday that RAGBRAI will continue its 47-year tradition despite staff resignations and the announcement those former employees are starting a rival ride, a spokesman for the Des Moines Register and its parent company Gannett said they’re exploring “all legal options.”Given that TJ Juskiewicz, who served as RAGBRAI director for 16 years before resigning Tuesday, told The Gazette he and his colleagues didn’t have a “no-compete” clause in their employment agreements with the Register — RAGBRAI’s parent company — experts said those legal options are limited.
