The Lake in the Hills Village Board will meet Tuesday to discuss advancing the village’s 2020 budget and 2019 property tax levy for a vote. According to village documents, the total fund balance of the village’s 19 funds would be drawn down by about $1.89 million. The most pertinent decreases would come from the water operations and maintenance fund, which would decrease by $905,035; the lakes projects fund, which would decrease by $396,564; the capital improvement planning fund, which would decrease by $372,145; and the general fund, which would decrease by $194,599. The general fund balance decrease represents about 1.1% of budgeted expenditures, which amounts to about $17.9 million.
