Vacation rentals see statewide growth in supply, demand and occupancy

Supply, demand, occupancy and the average daily rate for vacation rental units throughout the state were all up year-over-year in December, according to data released by Hawaii Tourism Authority on Friday. According to HTA’s Hawaii Vacation Rental Performance Report, unit supply statewide was up 11% to nearly 856,800 unit nights, and demand jumped nearly 14% to nearly 645,600 unit nights.
