Q: My 67-year-old grandmother had vaginal bleeding, and they are concerned she has cancer of her uterus. Is this common at her age?A: Endometrial cancer, EC, is the name for cancer that begins in cells lining the uterus. Overall, about 2% to 3% of women will be diagnosed with EC in their lifetimes, peak age of diagnosis is 60 to 70 years old.
