Comment on What’s Up Doc? Why do older folks need a high-dose flu shot?

Question: The pharmacist recommended a different flu shot for my 72-year-old mom than for me. Why is that?Flu symptoms include fever, body aches, cough, sore throat, runny nose, fatigue, stomach ache, headache and/or other symptoms. Complications can include breathing compromise, for example from pneumonia, dehydration, altered mental status, seizures, others.
