Trump restricts travel from Brazil as coronavirus cases spike

Brendan Smialowski/AFP via Getty Images The US will temporarily restrict travel from Brazil in order to slow the spread of COVID-19, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said in a statement Sunday. The order, which goes into effect late Thursday evening, applies to foreigners who were in the country anytime during a 14-day period before their US arrival. It does not apply to US citizens, legal permanent residents, or their family members.
