Just in time for the summer heat, Gov. Andy Beshear announced Thursday that Kentucky Kingdom and swimming pools — with restrictions — will be allowed to reopen June 29. Beshear made the announcement at the beginning of his daily update, noting that protocols are being put together on guidance for the "limited opening" of pools. "It’s not going to be easy to meet that guidance," Beshear said.
