Justin Simmons is ready to put all the offseason contract talk in the rearview and just play football. The Broncos and the 26-year-old safety couldn’t come to an agreement on a long-term deal this summer, so Simmons will play 2020 under the $11.441 million franchise tag, which is the NFL’s fifth-highest cap number for a safety this year. “I wouldn’t say (negotiations were a) disappointment,” Simmons said during a video conference Thursday.
