RMAC moves football, soccer and volleyball to spring semester

The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced Thursday it was moving football, soccer and volleyball to the spring semester. Cross country will keep running throughout the fall, as currently scheduled, while men’s and women’s golf will continue competing in non-championship competition this fall. The RMAC Presidents’ Council made the decision based on the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Board of Governors’ recent mandate of the NCAA Resocialization principles and the Division II Presidents Council decision to cancel fall championships. Additionally, the RMAC’s decision to continue with cross country and golf were made based off the NCAA risk ranking of collegiate athletics, with both sports considered lower risk. Details on the spring schedules will be released in the near future, according to the conference.
