A 'COVID tongue' that's swollen, bumpy, or patchy may be a sign of virus infection

Healthcare workers take a swab sample from a passenger amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, at a commuter train station Reuters Research on Spanish patients found COVID-19 may cause symptoms in the mouth and tongue. About one in four patients in the study experienced swelling, sores, bumps, or discolored patches. Researchers also found evidence of skin rashes and bumps on the hands and feet.
