Denver’s Chief Financial Officer Brendan Hanlon is now also the city’s deputy mayor for the second time during his tenure in Mayor Michael Hancock’s administration. The mayor’s office sent out a news release Wednesday announcing Hanlon’s designation. It began on Jan. 1 and will run through the end of the year. As outlined in the city charter, the mayor must name a member of his or her cabinet to be deputy mayor.
