Investing in schools is about more than funding

Schools benefit the entire community. That means any planning process should involve the entire community. The founding of America’s public schools predates the founding of our nation by more than a century. The Boston Latin School, established in 1635 by a Puritan settler named Philemon Pormont, would go on to educate the likes of John Hancock, Samuel Adams, and Benjamin Franklin, and its opening created a foundation for education in the U.S.
